Fabric weight is ounces per square yard, and it is the number that tells you most. A 4.5 oz ring-spun tee like the Softstyle 64000 is light and soft, the kind of shirt people wear on their own time. A 6 oz heavy cotton tee is stiffer and hides the body more; it lasts longer through industrial laundering but it is not what most crews want. At 8 oz you are into fleece.
“Singles” counts how fine the yarn is: a higher number means a finer, smoother yarn. 30 singles ring-spun, which is what the Softstyle uses, is the usual mark of a retail-feeling blank rather than a promotional one.
Can we print on a garment that is not on this list?
Often, yes. We buy from the same catalogues every other shop does, so long sleeves, tanks, ladies’ cuts, zip hoodies and performance fabrics are all available — they are simply not packaged at a fixed price, because the blank costs vary too much. Tell us the style number or just describe what you want on the contact page and we will quote it.
