Inches, garment laid flat, from the manufacturer’s specification (tolerance +/-1 in). Chest width is measured across the front an inch below the armhole; “chest around” is that number doubled, which is what the shirt measures all the way round. Body length runs from the high point of the shoulder to the hem.
4XL and 5XL are made (up to 32 in chest width) but are not part of a package — ask and we will quote them.
How Softstyle fits
Softstyle 64000 is a modern, slightly slimmer adult cut than a classic heavyweight tee such as the Gildan 2000. It is unisex sizing: many women size down one step for a fitted look, or stay with their usual size for a relaxed one. If someone is between sizes, size up; ring-spun cotton relaxes a little with wear but can shrink up to 5% if dried hot.
Measure a shirt that fits
- Lay a favorite T-shirt flat and smooth it out.
- Measure across the chest 1 inch below the armholes; compare with “chest width”.
- Measure from the top of the shoulder to the bottom hem; compare with “body length”.
- Pick the row that matches or is slightly larger.
Splitting a package across sizes
A typical adult crew of 100 orders about 10 S, 25 M, 30 L, 20 XL, 10 2XL and 5 3XL. Order two or three extra in the middle sizes for newcomers and replacements; the size mix can be anything that adds up to the package count.
